Welcome - ASN Conference '06

Partners

During the preparation and implementation of this project FER established partnerships with numerous institutions and organizations. We owe gratitude to the former Ministry for Minorities and Human Rights of the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro, which supported us during our candidature for hosting the ASN Conference in Belgrade. After the dissolution of the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro this Ministry transformed into the Agency for Human and Minority Rights of the Republic of Serbia, which continued to support the organization of the ASN Belgrade Conference 2006. Also, the Ministry for Science and Environmental Protection expressed willingness to financially support this event, yet due to the legislative barriers this was not possible. The Balkan Trust for Democracy – a project of the German Marshall Fund (BTD), generously supported the organization of the ASN Belgrade Conference 2006 by granting financial means for 40 young researchers from South Eastern Europe.

More than twenty universities from Serbia and the region promoted the conference, as well as numerous institutes and NGOs. They advocated for participation and support, and encouraged their members to present their papers and researchers to organize panels.

Numerous regional and domestic companies, institutions and organization trough their generous donations financially supported this event, namely: East European Center for Strategic Development, Citadel financial advisory, Milsped, Mais Institute – Zemun Polje, Safran, Belgrade Chamber of Commerce, Chamber of Commerce of Kragujevac, Gemax, Megalit, Galerija, Draslar Partner and Azur Trade.
