| In the main program the conference encompassed forty-two panels dedicated to discussion of important issues with a dual focus on both general topics related to the study of nationalism and more specifically to South-eastern Europe. In addition to the geographical focus on the Balkans, priority topics of the conference included the theoretical and methodological framework for the research and understanding of globalization, nationalism, ethnic conflict and other related phenomena, as well as their national, regional and global aspects. The main program took place in 4 rooms designated for panel presentations, 3 rooms on the first floor and 1 room on the ground floor. All of the rooms were equipped with audio visual equipment for presentations and projections. During the three days 42 panel discussions were presented, focusing on the following thematic areas, Balkans (13 panels), Nationalism (7 panels), Human and Minority Rights (2 panels), Ethnic Conflicts (3 panels), National Identity (5 panels), Kosovo (4 panels), Migrations (1 panel), Gender (1 panel), Europeanisation and EU integration (3 panels), Security and Albanian question (3 panels).
